The Real El Dorado:

Finally Re-Discovered !!!

The legendary "Golden Man" being sprayed with gold dust

For hundreds of years many explorers have searched for El Dorado. El Dorado has been known by several names over the years such as The Seven Cities of Cibola, The Seven Cities of Antillia, Manoa, Quiviera, Paititi, Land of the Golden Man, and Land of the Golden Serpent. It has been sought after in both North and South America. Well-known explorers such as Coronado, Vaca de Cabeza, Pizarro, Fawcett and Sir Walter Raleigh have been involved in the search. All of them were unsuccessful in their quest of pinpointing the real El Dorado.

Why has the search for El Dorado been so important to so many people for so many years?

Because El Dorado was the single largest source of gold for both the Inca and Spanish empires. Literally, many tons of gold were produced from El Dorado before its destruction. Many tons of gold still remain to be produced from The Seven Lost Cities of El Dorado today.

How has the secret of El Dorado been so successfully kept for all these years? There are two reasons, to find out please click here.

I have been exploring and prospecting for most of my life. I have been fortunate and have learned to find gold quite easily now after many years of trial and error.

However, the re-discovery of El Dorado is one of the best three discoveries of my entire life. Click here to read about one of my other gold discoveries in Ecuador.

The real El Dorado consisted of seven cities lying deep within a very rich, gold-bearing belt, spanning hundreds of miles. This remote jungle area was infested with blood-thirsty, head-hunting Jivaro Indians, eventually leading to El Dorado's destruction. The sites of the seven cities are still unknown to the general public today. Four of the lost cities are in Southern Ecuador and three of them are in Northern Peru.

The adventurer, Leonard Clark, correctly discovered and identified three of the seven lost cities in Peru in the 1940's. He spent several days panning at one of the sites and walked away with 50 pounds of gold. Before reaching civilization, he was forced to bury 20 pounds of his gold as he was dying of hunger and becoming very weak. During his adventure he was constantly threatened by head-hunting Jivaro Indians. The Indian problem has greatly improved in the last 15 years, now making it more possible for explorers to reach the lost cities.
