Hi Stan: I've been looking for you on my end for sometime. If you'd like to talk about the
Metallic Library let me know. My take on it is the true history of Earth needs to be told. What do you think? Was hoping you'd start a expedition. Mainly
I'm interested in what's on those plates. You know like to decipher them. Do you have any photographs of the library? I want to look at the writing. Gold doesn't interest me. I can smell it and find new locations easily all of the time. I do mine though as a hobby. Pictures attached. I own the prospector site Eastern Prospector on yahoo. Walt
Hi Walt, Thanks for writing. Yes, the metallic library is a most interesting subject. I am currently writing an e-book about it, the ancient tunnel system and my experiences with
Juan Moricz some years ago before he passed on. I have quite an accumulation of documentation about all of this and I look forward to sharing it people.
t was the book, Gold of the Gods by Erich Von Daniken that got me started on the subject. Unfortunately, this book turned out to have a lot of misleading information in it, which I was finally able to sort out. While I don't have photos of the metallic library, I do have a private document revealing the nature of the text, it's signs and symbols. I also have the location of an entrance to the cave near the library storage room. This is quite a ways from the well-known entrance at the top of the mountain. Are you planning any upcoming expeditions? Keep me posted. Best Regards, Stan

Dear Stan, I live in Oregon and caught "gold fever" a couple of years ago and haven't been the same since! The only bad thing is, the largest known gold-bearing areas require at least 3 to 5 hour drive minimum from where I live. While I know of a few mines that were fairly productive in the late 1800's that are a little closer, most of them had only produced medium grade ore, and finding placer deposits any larger than a grain of sand is rare in the northern Cascade Range and Willamette Valley, north of Cottage Grove. Nearly all of Little North Fork of the Santiam River has claims on it already, and the same is true for the area around Quartzville. The only exceptions are the areas with mineral withdrawl in place that are open to public recreational mining, and many of those are pretty much dredged out!
For the reasons I have already mentioned, I have been reading tons of books on Geology and the formation of the Cascade Range. I also purchased
Ancient Deposits - Modern
Wealth, and read Rivers of Gold from front to back. However, I was rather disappointed to find just how little information about the formation of the Northern Oregon Cascades and the location of known ancient river channels in this state was discussed. Perhaps the author had focused very little of his research and exploration in Oregon back then. There weren't as many ways to gain access to the remote areas as there are today. However, due to the nature of the area's extremely dense woodlands (places where only the elk and deer can traverse!) it is still my belief that there are numerous places in this area where there is gold that has yet to be found.
It sure would help, though, if I had some idea of where the ancient rivers coursed. It would be great to have maps for Oregon, like the ones I got from you showing the California old river courses. If you know of any good places to obtain the resource information to put together similar mapping for this state, would you please let me know? I would be very interested in doing the research and in creating some good maps! In the meantime, I have nothing to go by, except some USGS reports, and basic geological information about the volcanic history of this mountain range. I can't very well spend the rest of my life wandering around in the mountains looking for old, rounded riverbed rocks, now can I?
If you have and would be willing to point me in the right direction on this, I would be willing to share the information I compile with you :-)
Happy Hunting!
Lisa Williams
Hi Lisa, Thanks for your email. I have the same illness as you. I totally sympathize with your feelings and comments about a lack of information resources in your area. I hate to say this, but I have never seen or heard of what you are looking for.
I would normally check local universities and libraries for books by local authors, geological departments of schools and government for studies and manuscripts, and organizations like the Gold Prospectors Association of America based in California. There are a number of members who live in Oregon. They know a lot.
If none of that works, buy a motorhome and head for the hills down south. But you never know, your persistence could result in an important discovery!
Good Luck! Stan

My name is Carlos
Vergara. I am a television news anchor in the coastal bend of Texas. Recently I was made aware of sunken treasure from 1500's possibly off the coast of Padre Island. Have you ever looked into this?
Carlos
Hi Carlos, Thanks for your email. I am quite familiar with a number of historical treasure wrecks off the coast of Padre Island. Many interesting artifacts have washed ashore there over the years. Padre Island, being a National Park, has prevented treasure hunters from searching for more. The area must still hold bonanzas of lost gold and treasure.

Do you have a publication on Oregon, Washington and British Columbia,
Canada? I thought I had seen something on your site about BC, but it's so
extensive I have not been able to locate it again. Is it possible to find nuggets in these areas without having to do panning
or placer mining? Kind of like the guy near Sacramento who went up into the
hills using your maps and located 'strong signals', then successfully dug out his
specimen?
Thanks for your time.
Carol
We have a gold prospecting package: Ancient Deposits Modern Wealth which has information about the ancient alluvial river channels that run along the entire western region of North America right down to South America. Included in the package is a book called the Ancient River of Gold which details info about this and includes the British Columbia, Oregon & Washington region.
You can check out this link for more information about the Ancient Deposits Modern Wealth package:
http://www.stangrist.com/AncientChannels.htm
This link has the table of contents for the Ancient River of Gold which is included in the package above:
http://www.stangrist.com/AncientRiverContents.htm
As for your question about finding nuggets without placer mining or panning, I just asked Stan about this question for you and this was his reply:
"The simple answer to your question is YES. That said, one must have a good grasp of alluvial gold geology, local historical geology, mining history and nugget shooting - no small feat. ( see my Ancient Deposits Modern Wealth Package). Nuggets can be found with a metal detector in and near the eroded and exposed bedrock of ancient gold bearing rivers, bedrock exposures of live gold bearing rivers, and tailings dumps of dredges and alluvial gold washing plants. All of these types of sites can be found in each of Oregon, Washington and British Colombia."
I hope this answers your questions.

Hi Stan,
I have been reading about you the last couple of days and wonder if you can
give me some advice.
I have been invited to go to Venezuela around the St Helena area by the
Brazilian border to help with an alluvial diamond mining venture. It is a
totally private party with very limited funds. I am concerned about the
risks as far as personal safety and also the chances of being able to make
a decent amount of money. I have never gone out of the U.S. And I don¹t
speak Spanish so it is a little scary. I just wandered since you have been
down there what your experience was like and if you would advise such a
trip?
Sincerely,
Mitch, Mesa Arizona
Hi Mitch,
Thanks for your email. A trip into the area of Santa Elena, Venezuela, is an
exciting adventure. The main thing that concerns me about your venture is
the part about limited funds. Diamond prospecting and mining is a very
speculative activity. If someone else is paying the bill and you don't have
much to risk, what the heck, go for it. Just don't go with the expectation
of hitting it rich in the first week.
Santa Elena is fairly regularly visited by adventure tourists, even though
it is off the beaten path. It is an amazingly beautiful region. It has a
fantastic history for diamonds. I don't consider it any more dangerous than
other fairly safe parts of Latin America. Please, do stay away from the
border with Colombia - that is very dangerous for gringos. Many people in
this region speak some English, so you probably won't feel too left out.
As with all types of adventure travel, you should be constantly aware of
your surroundings, but not paranoid. It is good to have an adequate first
aid and survival kit with you too. Keep your eyes open for gold nuggets down
there. The gold nuggets I have seen from the Santa Elena area are some of
the most beautiful in the world. Good Luck, Stan

I just found your website, and I'm sure you would be interested by our work.
I have been running a shipwreck research company for 15 years now and we are specialized in shipwrecks (not only cargoships and cargo recovery, but
all wrecks). We've been working with the French authorities for archaeological
wrecks, but also with the US Gov. You will be able to see many details about our work and references on our internet site :
www.ceresm.com
What you should know as well, is that we've been working on special
research, in European waters, but also in the Bermudas islands, and other waters.
I know Patrick Lize and we are in frequent contact. I am as well, a good
friend of Robert Stenuit and also Teddy Tucker in Bermuda. We've been working on the Merchant Royal project as well.
We've been building a database with 15000 shipwrecks in European waters,
and have the tracks from hundreds of European fishermen, so we have nearly
2 millions snags in European waters. We just acquired the latest technology in side scan sonar and are specialists in sonar research. Feel free to send emails for further information.

Hi,
If you remember I was heading down to Venezuela to search for diamonds. My companions and I decided to try and walk in from the ferry at La Paragua. Needless to say the heat and humidity kicked our ass. One of my friends became rather ill early on and we were forced to turn back before we even got to the Chiguao. I took them back to Caracas, they flew back to Oregon and I flew down to Peru. Been here for weeks getting ready to head back home I think, try my hand at prospecting and cache hunting in an environment I´m used too. Maybe I´ll try Venezuela again some time when my Spanish (and cardiovascular system) is better. I have to thank you once again, if it wasn´t for you it may have been some time before I made to this part of the world. Peru is great, at least the Andes.
Gratefully John Magee
Hi John,
Thanks for the email. Yes, it can get very hot on the Gran Savanna. My next trip will be in an air conditioned 4-wheel drive. I remember having to stay in the shade for several hours each day when it was sunny. And I agree with you that it is important to be in good physical condition when attempting this expedition. I do hope you'll try again in the future. Who knows, maybe I'll see you on the trail.
Good luck back home!

Hi, Stan !
Love your website and I am also in the process of getting some of the
literature you put out on gold prospecting. Here is my problem. I am a gold prospector and treasure hunter wannabe, but I can't seem to take the first steps. I do not know if it is because everyone might think I am crazy or if I am concerned about investing money in something that might never pan out.
I have gold and gem stone fever, but I can't seem to act on it. Any advice? By the way, I am 48 yrs. old. Is that to old to start trying to live my dreams?
Paul Horton
Hi Paul, Thanks for writing. My advise is to start small and cheap, close to home. Buy books and join clubs or associations. Ask a lot of questions and do a little local research. Just take it step by step and see which areas draw you the strongest. Just let it be a natural progression. At 47, you are still very young to get started. I know people in their 80's who are still going strong in the field.
Good Luck!

Hi Stan,
I just had to let you know what I found on the weekend. I live in the Sacramento area and decided to go nugget shooting on the north fork of the Yuba River, just a few miles above Downieville. Using the topographic map from your Ancient Deposits package, I located an exposed tertiary channel half way up the side of a mountain. Searching the exposed bedrock, I got a loud signal. It took over 45 minutes to chisel my target out of the cemented gravel. It was well worth it though. My reward was a 3.5 ounce nugget! Thanks for those maps! Sincerely, Jeff Steele
Congratulations on your great find Jeff! Glad to know my maps helped!

It is no doubt that men and even animals in the past, were in some cases double to near triple the height of the modern species. I do believe the possibility that these giants were in fact the one and same as the Nephilim and Titans of Greek and Middle-eastern history. They may have spread all
across the world at various times in the past.
Modern science has found a great deal of evidence to prove the existence of such a race. I am fascinated by the 20 foot female skeleton you claimed to have seen!
Please tell me if you update you site! Here are some accounts of giant human remains. (Huge amount of records from many sources).

Thanks John, We will definitely let you know when we post new information about it. This is really terrific information and we have posted it here for people who are interested in reading it:

Hello Stan, I 'm a Biology/ history teacher here in Chinle, Arizona. This is my last year of teaching . Yes, I am interested in metal records, but I must say that I am surprised you are alive. According to James Mulkey you have never been seen since March of 97. There is an article about you in the treasure magazine, "Stan's search for the metallic library, "that is located in a secret chamber. There is also a book titled" They found gold" and a chapter titled: The Golden Books of the Maya." Another story I have is that of John Heinerman finding metal plates and large (giant) mummies in Sanpete County, Utah. No doubt such ancient plates will change the religious world, which prophecy says they will do and much more.
Of course these are religious items. They deal with true religion and identify false religious systems. So don't think that the religious world wants this exposed! Did anyone in the group get photos of each of the brass or gold pages? What about Jag, who has a library of files concerning this information? Also, I would like to order some of your books. Must figure out how to do this. Hope that I can hear from you -as these ancient records will come to light, it is just a matter of when. Of course I would like to have pictures of the writings of these three-ring plates.
Sincerely Steve

I have a question that you may be able to answer. I saw a show on the History Channel ''THE MOST" and there was a segment about the "Explorer Codes" I may have have the name slightly off it could be Explorer Manuscript or even Journal. It was a collection of ancient codes that belonged to kings and various royalty through the centuries. Each owner has tried to break its coded text but not with any success. I would be very interested in your thoughts on this and any further research or insight would be greatly appreciated. Your site is fascinating. Thank you, Leighanne Russell
Thanks for your email. Stan is pretty busy but he did tell me that he had not heard of the Explorer codes, but thought it was quite fascinating. You say that you have found the 7 cities of El Dorado. Do you have any evidence to prove that you have found them? Also, I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just wondering, if you found El Dorado, and the cities of gold, why are you writing books, etc. Wouldn't you have found millions of dollars in gold? Thanks,
Andrew -
Thanks for your email Andrew. As I have stated previously in my report about El Dorado
( www.stangrist.com/eldorado.htm
), I have discovered where the cities are located based on extensive research, including documents and maps from the 1500's. The scale of this project is quite extensive and time consuming and is not something that can be developed overnight. In addition, many of the sites are in very remote jungle regions, which is a considerable challenge. In the future, I will be going to each site and investigating them thoroughly and posting my results as I progress, so please stay tuned.
In the spirit of sharing, as others have shared with me, I am offering some free hints, as well as my
e-books, reports and guides to anyone who may be interested in pursuing their own quest for adventure. - Stan

Stan,
I've been a fan of your website for some time and I've purchased your Diamond Report and your Training Course and I must say they were worth every cent. Treasure hunting isn't exactly the easiest life to get into, but thanks to people like you and David Hatcher Childress its a little more manageable. I'm planning a trip to the Grand Savanna in March and I had a few questions if you don't mind.
First I was wondering if you ever had any problems with customs such as getting the rotapan through. Second if you don't mind telling about how much can you expect to sell the diamonds for, and how easy it is to sell them, I know it'll vary depending on color, size and clarity, but a rough estimate of how much you made would be greatly appreciated. Money
has never meant much to me but if I could break even that means I can keep hunting and after all that's what its all about. Lastly I noticed that there is a town, La Laja I think, in the diamond area I was curious as to its size and whether or not I might be able to
re-supply on food there if I'm having a good run.
Thank you
John Magee
PS if you could recommend any good books on the tunnel systems of South America I would be grateful. I've read Akakor and Childress. These tunnels sound like a great discovery and I'm interested in exploring them especially the one under Cuzco. Thanks again for everything
Hi John,
It was very nice to hear from you. I've never had a problem getting any small gear into any Latin American country, including metal detectors, rotopans, backpacking equipment and inflatable rafts. Also, I've never had a problem getting gold, diamonds or emeralds out of any country.
Regarding your questions about diamonds:
Each prospectors results will be different from others. Your success depends on where you look, how you look, your method of concentrating or separating the diamonds, and how much time you spend in the right places. Diamonds the size of almonds exist in the Gran Savannah, buy are very rare. One-tenth of a carat diamonds are very common.
I really don't disclose exactly what or how much I find from treasure hunting and prospecting ventures because it could cause a problem if I wish to return to certain places for further work. However I will say two things:
1. I am returning to the Gran Savannah regularly in the future,
2. I found enough to pay for my trip and all my previous research expenses, with a little left over.
You're right about breaking even. For me the most important things about valuable minerals and treasure is that they finance the next expedition.
La Laja consists of only a few families. You might find a little food there in an emergency, but be willing to compensate the people with much more than the food costs back in La Paragua. I took in almost all dried fruits, vegetables and meats, along with an expensive water filter. I was able to carry enough provisions for three weeks.
Have you read Von Daniken's Gold of the Gods? About half of it is true.
Good luck to you and keep me posted on your adventures John!

Hi Stan,
I am really interested in ancient river channels, do you think there are any good places left to detect in California? Also do you have any areas in California on the south side that show ancient channels? Well, hope your projects goin' well down there.
Jim
I just thought that I would mention that we have published a new package called Ancient Deposits, Modern Wealth. It is all about ancient channel alluvial gold deposits throughout all of the western Americas including California. The vast majority of these deposits are still virgin and unexplored. This is one of the most comprehensive information products I have ever developed. You can check it out here.

I would first like to say that I enjoyed your Course a great deal. It has both helped me learn the basics and inspired me to greater heights. I am a beginner treasure hunter living in rural Ontario Canada. Most of my searches include ghost towns, old resorts and abandoned houses. My first question is: Where can I find detailed old maps of Ontario , or Canada in general that show old settlements troop movements etc , that are for sale ie. on line or else where?
Second question: You mention in your course that networking using the internet is a great way to meet other treasure hunters. Where can I meet other hunters
online? Third question: Are there any books that you recommend reading about treasure hunting ie. atlases, artifact classification etc?
Thanks again it was well worth it.
Chris Jackson
Thanks Chris, Stan will be answering your questions personally when he returns from the jungle. All questions from those who purchased the Course will be compiled into a book and sent out to each person as an additional resource.

Hi Stan,
My name is Norm Marsh and I am a new avid fan of your website. Could you please tell me the book title and author of that book where the author develops his theory of the ancient river of gold that flows from Alaska thru South America. As soon as I am able I'm going to purchase your Ecuador and Venezuela e-books and start planning a trip down there. Did that high-tech diamond device work out you were checking into work out? Thanks so much and one day I hope I have the pleasure of meeting you.
Norm Marsh
Stan's in the jungle for several weeks setting up a magnetometry survey program for a gold mining company here in Ecuador, so I'm answering his emails in his absence. The book is called "The Ancient River of Gold " by Raymond Wallace. Stan will be creating a new in-depth report called "Ancient Deposits, Modern Riches" about the ancient river, which is based on his own extensive research, so stay tuned for that one...
We have not yet had a chance to test the thermal imaging device in Venezuela or anywhere else because we have been extremely busy with other projects (magnetometry and Stan's discovery of the seven lost cities of El Dorado ). The Gran Sabana is quite spectacular and is a place we plan on returning to again and again in the future.

Hi Stan: My name is Mark. I've followed your websites over the years and have found them very interesting. My question to you is: Have you ever explored or researched the Oak Island "Money Pit" mystery on the eastern coast of Canada? I was wondering what your take was on this?
It seems very fascinating and seems to have many different possible creators. Just curious.
Thanks
Hi Mark, Stan is in the jungle (see above) but I was able to talk to him briefly and ask him about Oak Island. He has researched Oak Island, but never explored it. He thinks that the creation is connected with the Knights Templar. Howard Jennings also discusses the mystery of Oak Island in The Treasure Hunter.

Dear Stan
I am a 15 year old girl from Australia and I have spoken to people about El Dorado and other ancient cities and every person I have spoken to has told me that if these cities did exist then the ruins of the cities would have easily been found already so I was wondering if you had found anything manmade or any ruins? I want to be an explorer desperately but I am seriously beginning to doubt all of it. I don't have any money to buy your book and my parents don't believe in any of this sort of thing so could you maybe give me a few clues to where El Dorado is? I don't need much to keep the magic alive. Just a simple "Beyond the forest of gods and into the canyon of lost hope" sort of thing.
Thank you very much, Jessica F
Dear Jessica, I think it is great that you want to be an explorer! Stan is in the jungle right now working on a project and when he returns he will respond to your questions. In the meantime you will find answers to many of your questions, particularly why El Dorado has been so difficult to find and the history, by visiting these pages on his site:
www.stangrist.com/eldorado.htm
www.stangrist.com/reasons.htm
www.stangrist.com/Fawcett.htm
www.stangrist.com/Manoa.htm
Some of ruins of the 7 lost cities of El Dorado are located deep the jungles of Ecuador and Peru, in very remote areas that have no road access. They have been buried by centuries of dense jungle overgrowth. Finding them is a very difficult task and requires high tech geophysical equipment like a magnetometer to be able to detect these ruins under the ground and the jungle overgrowth. We will be mounting several expeditions over the years to
each of these sites. Meanwhile keep checking back for updates. Susan Millar

Hello, what do you think about the Akakor legend?
Best wishes
Funny you should ask. I will soon be publishing an e- copy of the Chronicle of Akakor. Did you read the chapter that David Hatcher Childress wrote about it in his book, Lost Cities and Ancient Mysteries of South America? David has always been one of my heroes. He deemed this story important enough to devote an entire chapter of his book to it.
If this story is true, it will completely change our concept of ancient history and religion. Did you see Cousteau's beautiful book about his trip up the Amazon River? He actually hired Tatunca Nara as his guide for part of his trip. He briefly described who Tatunca Nara is, but not enough to make a difference.
I wonder why the author, Karl Brugger was murdered.
I lived in several very remote parts of the Brazilian Amazon jungle for a few years in the late 1970's. I spent time near one of the tunnel entrances shown in the book. I heard stories from locals that I cannot even repeat in my web site because people would think that I am crazy. That is why I am a student of the South American tunnel system. If you want to know more, email me privately.

Hello Stan Grist:
I missed you in Ecuador because you didn't introduce yourself when you walked up to Paul Cameron and me sitting at Monolo's on Amazonas. Your name would have rung a bell because I had missed you before when I went to Cuenca to question Pino's guide and found out he had talked to you before and he gave me the card that you gave him and by the time I checked your (Digital Explorer) website, it was gone. Just now I have done a web search on the Llanganati treasure after I just came back from an expedition there a month ago, and your (new) website popped up. So if you want to talk about Mashutaka and Petronio Jaramillio Abarco, or Andy Fernandez Salvador who I met for the first time after hearing about him all these years, he was coming out of the mountains as I was going in, please call or email me.
Gene Hood
Boy, Gene, do I ever feel stupid! I am so sorry to have been in such a hurry. It looks like I missed a chance at gaining a great new friend. We have a lot to talk about. I would really like to compare notes with you about the whole Pino Turolla thing and the tunnels. One of the names you mentioned is a very key person to know. Will you be back to Ecuador any time soon? We must get together as soon as possible in the future. Where do you live? Please keep in touch. And thanks for your email!

Hello Stan, My mining partner passed me your web site. Your a busy fellow Stan. When I'm not at my real job I'm mucking out a vertical mine shaft up in Nevada County California. My partner spends much of his time washing river gravel down on a river in Peru. We both are interested in doing some hiking in pursuit of
diamonds. What I'm concerned about is if this land where you prospected in Venezuela is open to mining claims. Has all of a sudden this place been claimed up since you were there and since you wrote your book?
Would really appreciate your straight forward response before I get into your book and pack my bags. I like hard work and sweat but I don't want to find Dawson Creek Alaska when I get there. Looking for dirt, rocks, bugs and no
people. Take care Stan, Scott Noble, Harmony Ridge Mining, Nevada City, CA
Wow Scott, it was great to hear from you. Walking around on the Gran Savanah of Venezuela looking for diamonds is one of the coolest things I have ever done. The mining concession laws of Venezuela are really confused and disorganized though. I met people from several small diamond mining companies there. None of them even knew if their concessions were in good standing with the government or not. There are also some concession disputes in other parts of the country between companies, all because of the government's ineptitude.
My Diamond Report is geared more to the individual explorer who wants to know how to spot the diamonds that Mother Nature has already mined through the process of erosion. It you know how and where to look, you can literally fill your pockets with diamonds in the Gran Savanah. In most of this area, you could walk for weeks and never see another person - it is vast and uninhabited - no Dawson Creek
there!

Dear Stan,
Let me introduce myself, my name is Pawel, I come from Poland. I am keen on the story of Juan Moricz discovery of tunnels in Ecuador. I started then to look for more information in the web and I found your page -it looks great! I am so curious about those tunnels that I decided to go there for a few weeks of holidays. And therefore I have some questions to you:
How to get more detailed information about where are exactly the tunnels? I know that the entrance is not a secret but what about the exact location? Have you been there? Or maybe do you organize such trips? and maybe it is possible to join? Anyway, thank you for interesting articles,
Best regards, Pawel Skoworotko
Hi Pawel,
Its great that you are interested in the Juan Moricz story. I believe that it will someday lead to a whole new understanding of ancient history that has never yet been proven with solid evidence. Von Daniken's version of the Cueva de los Tayos in his book, Gold of the Gods, did a lot to bring the story to the public. Unfortunately his claims of his visit to Ecuador are basically complete lies. He never went near the entrance to the tunnel, much less find the things in the photos in his book. The photos he took were of objects that are part of a controversial collection in the city of Cuenca. I have seen them myself. Von Daniken is such a liar! It was Juan Moricz, himself, and his lawyer (shown in a photo in the book) that confirmed Von Daniken's lies to me. The lawyer, Dr. Gerardo Pena Matheus, is still alive and lives in
Guayaquil.
The main entrance to the cave / tunnel system is clearly marked near the Coangos River on a topographical map, 1:50,000, purchased from the Instituto Geografico Militar in Quito. However, I have come into possession of private documents that reveal that the entrance to the chamber that contains the library and other items of interest, is some miles away from the well-known entrance and at a completely different elevation.
This entire area in Southern Ecuador and Northern Peru is of great significance as it is also the heart of the Seven Lost Cities of El Dorado, of which I will be writing much more soon. The Jesuits successfully kept the secret of El Dorado's location for hundreds of years. My research indicates that the area has been very significant for many thousands of years for reasons that I hope to see proven and published in my life time!

Dear Stan
I really liked your site very much. I am a doctor (medical) by profession. I have also written a book on unsolved mysteries of the universe. Interesting to you may be the fact that there is a remarkable similarity between Easter Island's Rongo Rongo writing and that of the MOHENJO DARO, the archeological site on the other end of globe!! Both writings have not been deciphered yet.Dr.Qazi Suleman from Pakistan
Hi Dr. Suleman,
Your book sounds very interesting. I would like to buy a copy of it. Please send me the details so that I, and everyone else who comes to my web site, can buy a copy. I believe that the time is coming when history and archaeology will be forced to modify current understanding. Many scholars will finally and painfully become open-minded. There was far more intercontinental contact in ancient times than I was ever taught in University. The Bearing Straight migration story really makes me smile.

I've just visited your website and am fascinated about your discoveries and reports, they look very interesting. The reason I stumbled across your site was that I was looking for some information on raw diamonds. My girlfriend is a keen geology student who has an extensive collection of minerals and semi-precious stones. Our anniversary is approaching and I was trying to find out about getting her a raw diamond - ideally still embedded in its bedrock. I'm guessing you would know more than most about doing this. Perhaps you have a small specimen you would consider selling? Who would you recommend to talk to about getting a diamond like this? I am only a student myself so cannot afford much but hoped that a small rough low grade rock might be within my
means. If you could suggest something I would be very grateful. I would be keen to know too what sort of money these things are likely to be, because if it is "silly" money out of my league I will concentrate my efforts on a different idea.If you can suggest (retail, I'm not after your secrets!) sources for other "raw" precious stones I will be grateful.
Thanks for your time. Tim Sheppard
Hi Tim,
I think you have a good anniversary idea there. The diamonds found in the Gran Savanah of Venezuela are alluvial diamonds. No primary source (kimberlite tube) has yet been found that I know of. Therefore, none of these diamonds are still attached to any kimberlite or source rock. Many of the diamonds I found there have been rolled a long distance from their source, wherever that is?, slightly smoothing their natural edges.
You might speak with a local gemologist to see if anyone in your area sells rough diamonds. It is fairly rare to find rough diamonds for sale unless you go somewhere in the world where diamond mining is taking place. Some of the smaller, "commercial grade", rough diamonds that I found could be purchased in Ciudad Bolivar for as little as $10. I'm not familiar with "rough" prices in North America. Do you live far from Arkansas? You can go diamond prospecting there in a State Park. For a small fee, you keep anything you find. There have been some great finds there too. In a few months, I'll be e-publishing an old book called Minerals, Metals and Gems. It is full of North American sites where all types of precious and semiprecious stones can be found. You wouldn't believe the new discoveries that are being made in Southern British Columbia, Canada.

Dear Stan,
I'm Noel Galvez, a neophyte coin & antiques collector and trader from the Philippines. In my pursuit of old coins of high value I found myself in the company of treasure hunters, wheeler-dealers, con men, etc. I enjoy listening to their stories. I believe in some of them. No, I haven't seen a real gold nugget or a real 12.5 kg gold bar with hallmark.
What I actually have right now is a stone as clear as glass bigger than the size of a corn kernel. I use it for cutting glass sheets. A jeweller friend of mine wants to buy it for US$1,250.
I have a group here who're in posession of a staggering 10,000 metric tons of gold bars hallmarked and fully documented. They want me to help them find real buyers. After all these years no real buyer have come forward. They say the gold came from Spanish galleons & Japanese warships that somehow sunk in the Philippines seas. They were
re-smelted and hallmarked.
Have you heard of the Yamashita Treasure? It's about this Japanese Imperial Army General Yamashita who looted the treasury of every country in Southeast Asia during WW II where he was posted. He brought them here being his last assignment before returning to Japan. The loot was trapped here when the Americans returned. Yamashita ordered them buried throughout the archipelago. Treasure hunters used maps with cryptic symbols to dig up these treasures.
How about the fabled Marcos gold? President Marcos discovered some of the Yamashita treasure or was able to obtain documents leading to the loot. He assigned portions to his most trusted generals. These people, including Marcos, are all dead now. The circle of people who knew about these are abuzz with speculations & rumors that redemption period is near or is already here.
Thanks for your time & attention. I enjoyed reading your stories even if in brief. I wish I could order soon.
Best regards,
Noel Galvez

The obvious question which will occur to anyone smart enough to point a mouse and click is ...
Why tell us instead of forming a mining Corp. for yourself
Ed
Thanks for your email. Your question is a very good one. I'm not sure whether you're referring to my report about the gold or diamonds. However, it doesn't really matter as the answer is the same for both.
As you may have seen on my page about my gold discoveries in Ecuador, I have been heavily involved in the mining end of things for quite a few years now. That has been fun, challenging and quite rewarding. I am now far more interested in travel, exploration and discovering new things. Also, I would never be able to exploit all of the gold and diamond sites I have discovered in ten lifetimes (if I wanted to, but I don't - mining is hard work!).
So, with my reports, I have created a foundation for anyone to go out and do what I have already done, on either a fun, vacation level or on a large-scale professional level. There is plenty for everyone!

Hello Stan,
This is George Van Fossen, we met several years ago when you were staying with Joe B. (The Book Seller) in St. Louis, Mo... My son John and I had a Minelab booth next to Joe's at the metal detector show that weekend... You, John and I
chummed around the show that weekend. I have asked Joe about you many times over the years and last time I talked with him he told me about your site... Anyway, I just wanted to say hello, and hoped you remembered John and me... When you get time drop me a line and I will answer...
Cheers, Georgie

Hi Stan,
How are things in Quito? The news has not been very uplifting lately.
I live in Las Vegas and have friends in Quito. I do not care for Quito in
the least. (sorry) My favorite place is Atacama. I am retired, and am a serious
detectorist hunting mostly in Spain. I have never hunted in Ecuador, have I missed something-apart from the dangers?
Regards,
Hank
Thanks for the email Hank. You're right, things have been a little wild in Ecuador lately. However, we seem to be almost back to normal now. Ecuador is an explorer's paradise; much remains to be discovered here. You might check out my free report, The Secret. It hints at many unknown locations throughout the Americas where the serious detectorist can line his or her pockets with gold nuggets. Please let me know more of your recent finds!

Hello!
I was intrigued when I saw your web site so I looked in, you didn't really have much on the Giant Race of People, but I wanted to point out that the most likely reason that many skeletal remains haven't been found is that these people may have simply burned their dead on funeral pyres like many Indians did. I have always believed that a large race of beings could well explain how (not why) some large structures were built, such as Stonehenge or even the pyramids.
There are also biblical references to a giant race of people, in fact 20 references. And of course the story of David and Goliath also is an account of a Giant, Goliath by biblical measurements was at least 10 feet tall. I am not a religious person, I don't believe in religion, but I have studied the bible as I feel that it is an account of people who lived in an exciting time, when things were happening that cannot be considered everyday, I mean they were in my opinion being visited regularly by beings from another world. Did you know that the bible refers to Unicorns? There are 9 references. Well, I apologize for going off the subject.
I was curious if you had ever visited the Temple of Neb-Hepet-Re-Mentuhotep? If so do you have anything on the Internet?
Keep up the travels, those of us who can't love to read about the adventures of those who can.

Thanks for the interesting and insightful email Kimberly! I'll be posting more on the giants right
away.

"Please send me a copy of "The Secret" and the "Gold Secrets of Ecuador Revealed". I am very interested in becoming a gold miner too."
Carson Noel
By the way everyone, Carson is president of Hampton Court Resources Ecuador S.A. and has probably forgotten more about gold mining than most gold miners even know in the first place.
